I strongly suggest watching it. It is about a crazy motherfucker
named Timothy Treadwell. He went into the wilds of Alaska and
lived with bears. This guy had balls, as he got up close with the
bears, often coming close enough to touch the big bastards. The
footage is pretty amazing; as this guy was so fucking crazy that
he thought he was buddies with the bears.
Beyond the footage of this nut getting close to bears, the movie
is interesting because of how crazy Treadwell is. The irony of
this movie is that Treadwell continually pats himself on the back
during his monologues, congratulating himself for protecting the
bears. However, the filmmaker does an excellent job showing
that he did the exact opposite. Through interviews with wildlife
experts, you learn that Treadwell was teaching the bears that
humans are okay, and that he was familiarizing bears to people.
This could have dangerous results, as some of the bears may
approach people in the future, thinking that all people are as
stupid as Timothy.
The ultimate irony is that he continually says he will die to protect
the bears. Treadwell did die while filming a bear. Instead of
protecting the bear, Treadwell’s death resulted in the wildlife
authorities killing the bear, as is procedure when a bear attack
occurs. Essentially he did the exact opposite of what he said he
would as his work resulted in one bear being killed. What a
dumbass?!
Throughout the movie, they refer to the audio of Treadwell’s
death because he was filming when he was attacked. The selfish
prick had his girlfriend along and she died as well. According to
the stupid hippies that Treadwell was friends with, she was afraid
of the bears but accompanied Treadwell anyway on a few
occasions.
They never play the tape, and during the movie the filmmaker
gave the tape to one of Treadwell’s ex-girlfriends. We at

graphic.
